Logansport Memorial Hospital (LMH) and The Medical Foundation, a clinical laboratory and pathology group located in South Bend, have reached an agreement to contract all laboratory service. Current LMH laboratory employees and LMH laboratory assets will transfer to the Foundation effective January 1, 2014.
As Logansport Memorial Hospital looks to the future and evaluates all opportunities for continued viability, the long-standing relationship with The Medical Foundation was examined. The Foundation and Logansport Memorial Hospital have had a business relationship for more than fifteen years. The Medical Foundation is considered to be a leader among the nation's diagnostic laboratories. With more then 700 employees, The Medical Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, provides a wide range of top-quality,cost-effective health services for communities in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois.

- Expansive vendor relationships that will result in lower pricing for equipment
- Services offered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Quicker turnaround time on select lab procedures
- On-going educational opportunities for employees
- Opportunities to build upon quality standard scores
