Denice Townsend Retires After 16 Years at LMH

Logansport Memorial Hospital is pleased to congratulate Denice Townsend of Cardiopulmonary Services on her retirement. She has been with LMH for 16 years.

During her time at LMH, Denice has accomplish many things, including the installation of the Vapotherm high velocity oxygen delivery system and the implementation of the home sleep testing program. She also earned accreditation for the Sleep Center and AAVCPR certifications for the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Program. In the midst of the pandemic, Denice earned her Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University.

When asked about her time at LMH, Denice shared the following…

“There are many caring people that work at LMH; they not only care about the community that is served, but they truly care about each other and lift each other up daily…I will miss my staff, they are all hardworking and caring, overall great people. I will miss the comradery and collaboration among departments. In other organizations, you do not see departments working together as the departments do here…I have become a more patient person, a better listener, and I take time to think through issues.”

Moving forward, Denice plans to travel and do some substitute and adjunct teaching.

Thank you Denice, we wish you the best of luck on your next adventure!
