LMH appeals to the community for face masks and offers guidelines

During the COVID-19 outbreak, supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE) are running low for hospitals across the state and country. Orders for standard/disposable masks are on long back-orders, due to both demand and supply chain issues. Logansport Memorial Hospital is joining other Indiana hospitals in asking for face masks to be donated in one of two ways so that we are as prepared as possible for COVID-19.

Restrictions and cancellations are an effort to flatten the curve

CCHD and LMH Partner to offer drive-thru COVID-19 screening off-site

The Cass County Health Department (CCHD) and Logansport Memorial Hospital (LMH) are collaborating to make COVID-19 testing more available to the Cass County community. Beginning on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, drive-thru screening for COVID-19 will be offered in the parking lot of the Penman Building, located at 1701 Dividend Drive in Logansport. Based on screening results and if the patient meets the screening criteria from the CDC, a COVID-19 test will be given.

No visitors will be permitted at Logansport Memorial Hospital, effective tomorrow- Tuesday, March 24, 2020 until further notice.

COVID-19 testing update from LMH and CCHD

The Cass County Health Department (CCHD) continues to monitor the pandemic of COVID-19 closely. At this time, no confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Cass County. The CCHD has reported that approximately 155 COVID-19 tests have been given to date in Cass County. The CCHD will work together with Logansport Memorial Hospital (LMH) to notify the public when there has been a confirmed case in Cass County.
