The total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, will cast much of Indiana in a state of total darkness. Excitement is building across the state, and the state is expecting to see over anywhere from 145,000 to 581,000 out-of-state visitors traveling to view this solar event. Logansport Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of a new pain management center on April 1, 2024. The Logansport Memorial Pain Management Center will be located at 1201 Michigan Avenue, Suite 70, Logansport, IN 46947.

The First Baby of 2024 arrived on January 2 at 7:15 AM in the Family Birth Center at Logansport Memorial Hospital. Baby boy Gilberth Hernandez-Morales was born on January 2, 2024 to first-time parents Lizbeth and Gilber.

At the end of December 2023, Logansport Memorial Hospital’s Vicki Byrd, Vice-President of Planning and Development, will retire from her very successful career after 17 years of service. Vicki’s career in non-profit and community planning work started long before she came to LMH, and her retirement will culminate the decades of dedication she has given to Cass County and the north-central Indiana region.

On Tuesday November 7, Logansport Memorial Hospital launched United Consumer Communications (UCC) through Artera, a new patient communication platform. UCC is used to communicate with patients for appointment reminders and confirmation, day-of-visit information, referrals, etc. Patients will receive communication in their preferred language (English or Spanish) based on their preferred contact method (text, call, or email) as indicated in their patient chart. Communication will come from the office phone number of the patient’s provider or from the two following phone numbers: (574) 725-3068, (574) 725-3589.
