Logansport Memorial hospital and Aetna reach verbal agreement

For 17 years, Logansport Memorial Hospital has operated under the same Aetna contract for hospital reimbursement. In November 2011, Aetna proposed a reduction in reimbursement rates to Logansport Memorial Hospital. 

"The proposed payment reduction put LMH at a significant financial disadvantage," commented CEO David Ameen. "After weeks of negotiation, LMH is pleased to announce that a verbal agreement has been reached between the hospital and Aetna."

The agreement ensures that patients will be able to continue to receive care from Logansport Memorial Hospital and its physician network providers.
