Logansport Memorial Hospital welcomes a new anesthesiologist

Logansport Memorial Hospital welcomes Monica Cotet MD to its medical staff. She is the newest anesthesiologist to join the Logansport Memorial Physician Network and is here full-time.

Dr. Cotet had always had an interest in medicine from an early age, and when it came time to decide, she knew exactly what she wanted to do with her life. Dr. Cotet pursued anesthesia after moonlighting as a nurse anesthetist for one shift a week while she was completing medical school. “Because I had the firsthand experience in anesthesia, I knew that I enjoyed it and wanted to do that with my medical career,” says Dr. Cotet. “I’ve also enjoyed the opportunity to work with patients and make their hospital experiences as comforting as possible,” she says.

Dr. Cotet completed medical school at the Carol Davila University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, and completed her residency at the Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center, affiliated with Harvard University. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology.
