Logansport Memorial Hospital changes hours for better patient care

Logansport Memorial Hospital has made changes to the hours of operation for some of its lab draw stations on campus. These changes are being made so that patients have more access to draw stations where and when they need them. It will provide more opportunities for patients and physicians to utilize the lab services offered at LMH more efficiently.

Effective on Monday, October 8, the draw station in Medical Office Building East will now be open from 6 – 9 am Monday through Friday. Phlebotomists will now be stationed in the Family Medicine and Pediatrics physician offices from 9 am – 2:30 pm on Monday through Friday. The hours for the Lobby Lab will remain the same, open from 7 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Friday and from 7 am – 1 pm on Saturday.

The lab services at Logansport Memorial Hospital are accredited by the College of American Pathology. The services offered here are also compatible with electronic medical record and the Indiana Health Information Exchange. Because of this compatibility with both technologies, patients and physicians can quickly and easily access the information from the lab results. The results are recorded for easy retrieval by physicians, and they can then use the results and information for the patient’s care plan. Patients can also access this health information to use for themselves via the Patient Portal, available on the hospital website.

We continue to make changes like these as part of our commitment to exceptional patient care. It’s important that our patients and our community have the services they need for their healthcare management.
