Welcoming New Orthopedic Surgeon

Logansport Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome orthopedic surgeon Quentin Tanko MD to its medical staff. He will see all general orthopedics patients and has a special interest in shoulders and trauma. "Orthopedics appeals to me because you can usually fix a problem quickly, and nine out of ten folks do better. I appreciate the opportunity to see patients in a variety of settings – ER, hospital, surgery, and office.

Dr. Tanko has joined the Orthopedics practice with Jeryl G. Fullen MD initially on a part-time basis. "I am particularly pleased to welcome Dr. Tanko to the hospital and to our practice," comments Dr. Fullen. "His expertise will further enhance the care we are able to provide for our orthopedic patients." Charles Montgomery MD, a long-time practicing orthopedic surgeon at Logansport Memorial, also noted the contribution Dr. Tanko will make to the orthopedic practice. "With another orthopedic surgeon practicing at the hospital, there will be a broader range of orthopedic coverage provided to the community. More patients will be able to be seen and they will have access to care where and when they need it."

Dr. Tanko completed his Masters degree in biomedical sciences and his medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Fort Wayne Medical Education and Research Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana and at the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The office is located in Suite 70 of Medical Office Building West, 1201 Michigan Avenue, at Logansport Memorial Hospital. The hours are Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. – Noon. For information or to schedule an appointment, call 574-722-BONE (2663).
